As promised here are some of the photos from the taxidermy contest. All of these pieces were clearly so lovingly created. And I met some of the most amazing people and think I made some life long friends.
Here are some of the contestants (the winners are towards the end of the post):
First Place: Sara Ford Coco
Me and the Stunningly Gorgeous Sara Ford Coco. Words (and photos) can not describe the sheer beauty (inside and out) of this lovely...

I had the most extraordinary evening with my friends Miranda and Jaclyn on Friday evening. We attended the Philadelphia Alt Taxidermy Competition. It was a most stunning display of artistry, not only in the taxidermy world but also with the fabulous attendees. We of course were encouraged to dress in Feathers and Furs and everyone looked amazing.
My friend Miranda is an amateur taxidermist and I’ve always been enthralled with the artistry of this work. I adore Walter Potter and I’m...

I think I was most excited about this outfit on my trip. In an earlier post, I wrote about a rare Disneyland fabric that I found and intended to make a dress out of it. Well I didn’t have enough fabric for a dress so, I made a skirt instead. I think it turned out pretty well.
All of the cast members at the Magic Kingdom loved this outfit! At some point I intend to create an entire outfit to showcase...

I attended a fantastic event this past weekend with some fabulous friends Jaclyn and Sally.
The Maryland Historical Society hosted a Fashion Show featuring fashions from 1812 as well as modern-day adaptations. The show “starred” Elizabeth “Betsy” Patterson Bonaparte (Napoleon Bonaparte’s very fashionable sister-in-law) and other Baltimore natives. I’ve lived in Baltimore since 2008 and I have to admit that I was somewhat ignorant to this beautiful lady’s connection to the city I now call home. I was intrigued to learn...

I had no idea what to expect with EPCOT, but I have to say that it was an unexpected surprise. I loved it! It has science and innovation stuff (which my hubby loves) and then the World Showcase was awesome! Especially since we happened to go during the Food and Wine Festival. Being that it’s Disney and they are so good at creating or re-creating worlds/lands, each section of the World Showcase was beautiful and it felt like you really...

Well, after a week of thinking we weren’t going to be allowed to take our vacation to Florida (due to the government shut down), at the last minute it was announced that we in fact were going!!! Needless to say I was overjoyed. We had been planning this trip for about a year and I started planning my Disneybounding outfits about six months ago.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Disneybounding, it derives from a fantastic blog where people...
