A few months ago I was contacted by a representative of Voodoo Vixen and was asked if I’d be interested in reviewing a dress from their retro inspired line. Of course I quickly jumped over to the website to view what fantastic items they had to offer and at first I was disappointed to see that they did not have a plus size selection. I was then directed to the correct section (I think the website was still a bit...
The many shades of……Purple

Ever since I changed my hair color, I’ve realized that it opened up a whole new color palette for me to enjoy. Recently I’ve become obsessed with capes and I’m not talking about the superhero kind. I’ve not owned one since I was a little girl but now I have five!!!! It was a moving and emotional experience and one that will stay with me the rest of my days.
My step-father and grandfather both fought in WWII. My step-father was in...

We always get to spend a little time with them after their show. They are always so gracious to sign autographs and take photos with their fans.
They are the most consistently amazing show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been seeing them live...

This weekend was the D.C. Lindy Hop Exchange and although we couldn’t make it to all the events, we did make it out to the Saturday night dance at the Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. Since my back surgery (and car accident in December) I haven’t really been able to dance much. But a few of our friends were coming up from Richmond, VA and Durham, NC and we really wanted to see them. We also wanted to hear...
