My day as Snow White

Well, after a week of thinking we weren’t going to be allowed to take our vacation to Florida (due to the government shut down), at the last minute it was announced that we in fact were going!!! Needless to say I was overjoyed. We had been planning this trip for about a year and I started planning my Disneybounding outfits about six months ago.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Disneybounding, it derives from a fantastic blog where people arrange outfits that are inspired by Disney Characters. It’s not dressing up in a costume, more of a nod to a character or movie (or in one case a certain “land” located in the park).
We spent two days at Magic Kingdom, two days at EPCOT and one day at Universal Studios (The World of Harry Potter) and I had outfits for each.
Our first day at the Magic Kingdom I decided to Disneybound as Snow White. This was my first trip to Walt Disney World and I was soooo excited and a little worried about how the park(s) were going to feel. Growing up in Southern California I’ve always been a die-hard Disneyland fan. I have such admiration for Walt Disney himself and I loved that Disneyland was the original park and that Walt actually walked around there. He did such an amazing job in making the park so welcoming and exciting at the same time. Unfortunately he passed away before Disneyworld was built, so I always felt a disconnect with it. But it was lovely, it had a similar fee to it, and all the cast members were so great.
During a recent tip to Paris we visited Disneyland Paris and I was quite disappointed with it. The cast members didn’t have the same warmth as the other Disney parks and it seemed a bit run down. But that’s another story for another day.
So over the next few days (or weeks) I will chronicle some of my outfits from our trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
