This past year, especially the last 6 months has been a mixed bag of emotions for me.
As I am about to embark on a new chapter in my life, I would like to share some of the things that I’ve been contending with lately in hopes that, those of you who follow me on social media or just through this blog, will share in my journey with me and understand who I am a little more.
For the past 6 years...
The Voyage of L’Hermione

We were lucky enough to still be in Baltimore to see this beautiful ship come to to Inner Harbor. I’d heard about the reconstruction of this ship and have been following their voyage on social media. Living in this part of the U.S. has re-awakened my thirst for history, especially about the Revolutionary War. And anytime there is a connection to France I am deeply interested in it.

Last September I was able to attend the Dapper Day Event at Disneyland. This has been a dream of mine since they started it in 2011. So when we decided to visit California, we made sure our trip was centered around this particular event.
What is Dapper Day??Â

Located in the star studded neighborhood of Beverly Hills this house has always been shrouded in mystery for me. Until of course the invent of the internet. Then I was able to not only learn the history of...

Growing up in San Diego, I would occasionally visit Los Angeles, and though it has never been my favorite city, I have always adored visiting Pasadena, CA. Less than 10 miles north of downtown, it seems a world away from the hustle and bustle of L.A. The feel of Pasadena is “upscale vintage” to me, with the abundance of Craftsman-style homes and wide palm tree lined streets.
Yet, one of the things that has always intrigued me on our dives was,...

**I’ve been trying to write this blog post since September of 2014, but life just kept getting in the way, so here it is….Finally**
Last September we traveled back to my hometown of sunny San Diego for a quick vacation before we headed up to Anaheim to attend Dapper Day. I moved from San Diego about 10 years ago and at first I was happy to leave and see other parts of the country, but recently I’ve really started...
