This 1940s half-up / half-down hairstyle is a favorite of mine and I’m happy to share this tutorial with you. It’s such a versatile vintage hairstyle, and can be easily adapted to change the look of the back of your hair. You can wear your hair down to show off those lovely waves or maybe put on a snood for a truly authentic Land Girl look. Simply securing the back of the hair with a beautiful barrette or maybe even rolling it into a Gibson roll, will keep you nice and cool on warm Summer days. Adding a few hair flowers would also jazz up this hairstyle quite nicely.
There are just so many options for this hairstyle, and all of them will showcase this authentic 1940s half-up / half-down hairstyle nicely.
