Fashions from the 1930s are by far my favorites. There is something so simple yet glamorous and about the details and silhouettes of the 1930s. However, as a curvy woman, I’ve struggled with finding garments that incorporate those luscious silhouettes AND flatter my body.
Emmy Designs has once again created a stunning dress with thoughtful 1930s elements, suitable for any size. I typically wear a size US 20/UK 22/EU 50 in dresses, and this dress in size EU 50/52 fits me perfectly. The fact that Emmy Designs even offers sizes that go up to 52 is amazing. This in addition to their wonderful and authentic designs is a large reason they are one of my all time favorite reproduction brands.

Hat ~ Vintage
Shoes ~ Miss L Fire
Parasol ~ Vintage
Purse ~ Vintage
The dress is tailored so wonderfully and it drapes my body beautifully. The belt is elastic so it fits snuggly but gives you room to move. The buckle is darling and adds that lovely 1930s detail to the whole look.
And most important of all…it has pockets!!!!

3rd Aug 2020 - 12:05 pmWhat beautiful pictures! You look so pretty and like you’ve stepped out of another time, maybe the 30s.😉 You always make me want to go out and get more dresses. I enjoy wearing them more then anything but now I’m going to make sure I wear more for pictures. You’re such an inspiration, thank you.

3rd Aug 2020 - 1:03 pmYou put together a perfect spring/summer look. I am gaga over that dress- great colors in that print! I love how you pulled out the green with your accessories. Yay!
What I appreciate and respect about Emmy Designs is that they use real people to show their clothing. This way you can see how they look on normal people, not on airbrushed models. As in: “Oh, yeah, I have hips like that- so do I like the way that looks? Yes, I’ll take it!”
I bet they have fewer returns and disgruntled customers!

3rd Aug 2020 - 4:18 pmI agree! They are really thoughtful about who they choose as their models. It’s something that is lacking in a lot of advertising.
