Trying New Things ~ Pin Curl Fringe Set

As I have a lot more time on my hands I’ve been trying new things with my hair and my wardrobe. So this week I wanted to try a new set, but just on my fringe. I’ve always wanted to achieve this type of wave on my fringe and I have so many vintage hairstyling books that outline the setting patterns. However, I’ve not have much luck with pin curls in the past. They tend to be too small and just create more frizz for my hair. But I thought if I tried it just on my fringe, it wouldn’t be too bad.
My hair is quite long right now, so it’s not exactly like the diagram, but I think it turned out really well. I learned a lot about this process and I think I can do much better if I practice more.
I did my normal wet set on the rest of my hair, then did three rows of pin curls on my fringe. I alternated the direction for each row to create the wave. I used the Sculpture Pin Curl tool to help form the pin curls and then just pinned them in place with pin curl clips and waited for it all to dry.
