Films and TV Shows for Vintage Style Inspiration

During this time of self-isolation, I’ve been getting to work on projects that I’ve been putting aside. Along with my YouTube channel, a pile of mending and getting back to writing more, I’ve been compiling a list of contemporary films and TV shows that spark my inspiration for vintage fashion, style, and beauty.

So often I just want to watch a good period piece to ogle at the beautiful vintage styles. Some of these films/movies can even be quite informative along with being entertaining. I originally compiled this list for my Authentic 1930s & 1940s Hairstyles group on Facebook, so I’ve stayed within my two favorite eras for now. Eventually, I’ll add the 1920s and 1950s to the list.

I hope this list helps spark your inspiration and if you have any suggestions for contemporary films or TV shows not on this list, please comment below and I’ll add it.
